Established Carroll County based commercial landscape company is seeking individuals who enjoy working outdoors. Beechfield builds and maintains beautiful landscapes. Come join our team! We currently have openings on both landscape construction and landscape maintenance crews.
Available positions:
- Crewmember
- Assistant Crew Leader
- Landscape Technician
These positions involve using hand and/or power tools or equipment to perform a wide range of landscape duties which include: planting of trees, shrubs, perennials and flowers, installing sod, grading and seeding, mulching, mowing, pruning, applying fertilizer, weeding, watering, and IPM monitoring and treatment.
Experience and industry certifications a plus, but not required for entry level crewmember positions. We are willing to train individuals with a willingness to learn!
Work schedule
40+ hours per week
6:00am until 3:00 – 4:30pm (end time varies)

Crewmember
Perform various landscape duties as directed by Crew Leader, which include, but are not limited to the following:
- Use hand and/or power tools or equipment to perform a wide range of landscape duties which include: planting of trees, shrubs, perennials and flowers, installing sod, grading and seeding, mulching, mowing, pruning, leaf and debris removal, applying fertilizer, weeding, watering, and IPM monitoring and treatment.
- Prior industry experience is not required
Assistant Crew Leader
Assist Crew Leader with the supervision of crew members while working alongside crew in performing various landscape duties as directed by Crew Leader, which includes but are not limited to the following:
- Use hand and/or power tools or equipment to perform a wide range of landscape duties which include: planting of trees, shrubs, perennials and flowers, installing sod, grading and seeding, mulching, mowing, pruning, leaf and debris removal, applying fertilizer, weeding, watering, and IPM monitoring and treatment.
- Delegate work to crewmembers
- Oversee jobsite operations and ensure safety and quality standards
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with driving record insurable by company
Landscape Technician
Inventory landscapes and evaluate for vigor. Diagnose deficiencies while working alongside and supervising crewmembers in performing various landscape duties which include, but are not limited to the following:
- Use hand and/or power tools or equipment to perform a wide range of landscape duties which include: planting of trees, shrubs, perennials and flowers, installing sod, grading and seeding, mulching, mowing, pruning, leaf and debris removal, applying fertilizer, weeding, watering, and IPM monitoring and treatment
- Delegate work to crewmembers
- Oversee jobsite operations and ensure safety and quality standards
- Strong horticultural knowledge
- Ability to properly identify plant material
- Ability to diagnose landscape pests, diseases, and common environmental and cultural problems in the landscape
- Mix and apply tree, shrub, and turf care products according to label instructions
- Pesticide applicators license required
- Professional Fertilizer Applicator certification a plus
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with driving record insurable by company
